In the 2020 United States presidential election held on November 3, Joe Biden and senator Kamala Harris defeated the incumbent President Donald Trump and vice President Mike Pence. The election saw the highest voter turnout since 1900: Biden received more than 81 million votes, the most votes ever cast for a candidate in a U.S. presidential election, while Trump earned more than 74 million votes both exceeding former President Obama’s record.

As everyone knows, the harsh campaign mainly characterised by Covid-19 pandemic, alleged foreign interference, controversy on postal voting, and Trump’s potential rejection of the results, ended with the dramatic storm on the Capitol by Trump supporters contesting the election aftermath.

Compol, Associazione Italiana di Comunicazione Politica, will discuss these and other themes related to the 2020 U.S. presidential campaign with:

Chaired by Paolo Mancini (University of Perugia).

Save the date: Thursday 11 February, 2021, 3pm (9am EST).

The webinar will be held in English
